The Red Cottage Once a grape packing house owned by Capt. George Stemple, a local steamboat captain, and is located on the southwest shore of beautiful Canandaigua Lake in a protected cove, between Cook’s Point and Long’s Point, called ”Stemple’s Landing.“ This Landing was one of many stopping points for steamboats on the lake, during the 1800’s and early 1900‘s, picking up grapes and passengers for transport between Woodville and Canandaigua.

The Red Cottage interior is bright and breezy—a renovated cottage (1500 sq. ft.) with knotty pine throughout the first floor, which consists of: master bedroom downstairs w/queen bed and 1/2 bath; hardwood/carpeted living room w/wicker couch and love seat; telephone, TV/cable/internet/ DVD; 1/2 bath; full kitchen w/ breakfast bar & built-in pine bench and trestle table, microwave, all cooking and eating utensils. Upstairs is dormitory style w/2 singles & king-size bed, and a balcony. Large front deck overlooking the lake, and cantilevered dock w/seating at water’s edge. Cottage is fully heated. Washer & dryer in basement. Cottage has outside shower house with H/C running water. Also included is a 10’ x’10’ sleep-cabin w/double bed and loft.

Gas grill, communal rowboat and canoe included.  BYO linens and towels.  No Pets please.

Sleeps 8 adults.

Rates

Peak season July-Aug: $2500/week
Off season rates for June and Sept: $2250
Off season rates for May and Oct: $2125
Peak season 7 night minimum.
Off-season 2 night minimum.

(50% Deposit and $300 Security required. )

Boat mooring available at an additional charge.
